Discrimination and Disparities

Discrimination and Disparities challenges believers in such one-factor explanations of economic outcome differences as discrimination, exploitation, or genetics. It is listenable enough for people with no prior knowledge of economics. Yet the empirical evidence with which it backs up its analysis spans the globe and challenges beliefs across the ideological spectrum.

Thomas Sowell is an African American economist, social theorist, and senior fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution. Please go to his website, open your mind and challenge some of the current beliefs you have, challenge them with facts, not innuendo!

Books Black Reads

"Basic" it is not!

A real comprehensive look at economics from all sides removing the soft stuff and delving into facts.

Carter G. Woodson

Wrote this pivotal book all Black Men & Women need to read at some point in their lives. The way he breaks out the mindset of the former slave business owner to his free child's mindset. It is still very important today! Below will link you the Wikipedia page but you can find the book any and everywhere that sells them.

"Today"

Brittney Smith wrote a book for kids who have to say good bye to a loved one. Whether that be death, breakup, distance or just abandonment. It is a journal for the child to express their own feelings about the situation in their own words.

The Sun is Bright & Open

This book helps us to understand how "we" got from the South to the rest of America. Along with the changes that came with our arrival, for the Blacks already there and the white populations.

A True Classic

As he stated on the cover "The National Plan to Empower Black America" Dr. Claud sums up America.

No Apologies!

Jason L. Riley brings it in this book! Yes he does explain how all the "help" in the world can build a race of people who choose not to help themselves. Those mindsets aren't a person's purpose though they are deceptively learned. We have to learn how to recognize the manipulation.

Black Excellence

This is the 1st book I shared with my son. As a young man I wanted him to have a comprehensive catalog of Black hero's who didn't dribble , dance or swing a bat. This collection an early collection of Black Inventors and so much more is excellent. I still have an original hardcover I will never sell.
